The Institute of Accelerated Ascension™

Are you ready to capitalize on your strengths to achieve goals?

If so, then this will be the most important program you attend this year to level up your leadership.

Never has there been a more challenging time for physician leaders. You may be among the statistically alarming number of leaders who report a lack of professional fulfillment.

To cope with ever-growing risks of burnout in our profession, I crafted a coaching program specifically for individuals who want to thrive in the fast-paced world of modern healthcare.

To address underrepresentation of marginalized groups in leadership roles, I have crafted a coaching program specifically for high-performing, high-potential physicians who want to do much more than survive in the hectic and even chaotic world of modern healthcare.

The Institute of Accelerated Ascension is designed to help you thrive as you lead!

In the spirit of stepping up and addressing one of the most pervasive and urgent crises in healthcare - the absence of master physician leaders - the Institute of Accelerated Ascension will enhance your leadership skills by building on strengths you already have and by giving you essential tools to lead from a place of authenticity without conforming aspects of your identity (and still meet performance metrics!).

I know because I've been there. I've struggled with expanding my influence because I wasn't playing to my strengths. I've been unaware of which strengths are the best ones to bring to a meeting or a difficult conversation.

I've wondered how to practice reflexive, responsive-focused, emotionally stable "invincibility" in my leadership career by leveraging my strengths.

I've questioned why conforming, particularly to a non-inclusive 'standard' of leadership, was believed to be the way to feel a sense of belonging at work.

A coach helped me discover the key to being genuinely fulfilled and realizing my potential as the "Influencer in Chief" by optimizing my strengths.

THE KEY to maintaining a sense of personal joy and career satisfaction, when we can't always control what's happening, is to practice the way we respond to what's happening – that's where our power lies.

What is your desired goal as a leader?

  • Lead while supporting others in their daily decision making
  • Lead while others actively contribute to the work of a team project
  • Lead while staying unflappable even in trying moments
  • Lead while the essential work is maintained as a priority
  • Lead by setting personal boundaries that lets the team know, “I’m here for you and I value protected time”
  • Lead by dealing with difficult issues straightforwardly (with honesty and compassion)
  • Lead by being authentic and unapologetically ambitious without suppressing core aspects of yourself

Lead by being the leader you know that you can be.

Combination of "learning" with "doing" in a proven way

Coaching increases self-awareness, motivation, and the capacity to take effective action. Physician executive coaching aims to help you, the physician leader, balance your personal goals with your professional goals.

Using foundational coaching skills, executive coaching empowers doctors who wish to create more effective organizations by starting with increased self-awareness and positive change within themselves.

Within their professional goals, coaching helps physicians increase their leadership effectiveness. It addresses the optimal balance between focusing on results and focusing on building strong, healthy relationships with the people around them.

After all, professional growth is impossible without personal growth.

The Institute of Accelerated Ascension is an elite physician leadership curriculum designed to cultivate the most effective and successful leaders in modern medicine. There are twelve core themes – each with a dedicated module, a mixture of in-depth video overviews, interactive group sessions and a master-mind framework for peer support, as well as faculty-centric lessons, tips, and worksheets throughout the curricula.

I appreciated how she did not tell me what I "should" do, but rather guided me to a place where I made my own decisions about next steps. By guiding me, I was able to make decisions that truly aligned with my strengths and core values. I feel comfortable continuing to lead from this genuine place that she helped me uncover."

Meghan Hampton, MD, MPH, MS

"Dr. Malcolm is knowledgable, articulate, thoughtful, and kind. Having been through the journey of a physician leader herself, she speaks from experience and with humility. She is a highly accomplished leader with an innate ability to listen deeply. Her ability to listen gives her the right to speak. Her knowledge and experience give her the right to teach. Her sense of humor makes her fun to work with and her executive presence is one of the best I have ever seen.”
